We all get ready to go on a super duper quest to another plane of existence!

We all try to get general stuff that will help with our quest, I for once got all the gear that I could have asked for, well every thing I could think of in the 2e PHB, I tried to get splint mail, to boost my AC massively, IE so nothing could hit me, with out heavly dooming the rest of the party if I go down, Right now I have a -1 with shield. (Total, 17dex, Ring o' protection, and chainmail. EVERY ONE HAS CHAINMAIL, I think I know why I like 3.5e+ now, easier to make different characters.)

Only beef I have, besides my DM not letting me get the splint mail (Oh come on, some armor business they have, plate mail is expensive because it has to be costume made per person, and only after they stop growing, but even then they can resize it.)

And that Signal whistles are apparently out of tech, even if one person used it before, you cannot tell me they don't exist, if they have flutes, or any pipe wind instrument, you can use the same premise to make a single note, "Signal" whistle, Apparently I wasn't the only one thinking about it, and another player was denied it, I thought it was gonna be useful, I could have set up a basic system of x whistles in y time = meaning.

Ah well, maybe another time.

Came to the new plane, surrounded by tree's, this was the first time we got some minor flavor text, but we had to ask for the rest of it, that's the only thing I am still kinda annoy'd about, I wish he would come up with on the moment flavor text, even if it's just context, that would help willing suspension of disbelieving.

Found some mer-folk... consorting, they fled when we came up.
/Small goblin got drunk of liqueur berry's.
Found a large group of humans, they fled, we lottierd for a bit, and took their fish off the fire.

There was a battle, we went there, and my willing suspension of disbelief took a hit...
The monsters... They had a AC of -2. MINUS 2!! come on, that is the armor class if I got FULL PLATE, and my dex bonus on top of it, come on, I don't think he has played in his own Game for a while, oh well.

I am hoping to co-DM a 4e game later, I am almost willing to set up characters for people, and set up ability cue cards.

We defeated them in the end, my total bonuses to hit were kinda annoying not being able to hit things with out a 13 on the die, but the level 1 cleric, played by a new member of the gaming group. (Note any bigger and this won't really be play able.) he sat there casting fairy fire, it made my 12 worth some thing, rolled a 12 damage every swing that managed to connect.

All lower level characters will level this time... and hopefully we will spike in level, and get dungeons, this is the first campaign level plot we got in I have no idea how long.
